Summary: A network of excellence of scientists, clinicians and industrials in the fields of cancerology and immunology implement an interdisciplinary and international program of education, research and valorisation towards clinical applications. The Cancer and Immunology Institute brings together research teams, hospitals and industrialists in Marseille working in the field of cancer and immunology research. Cancer treatment by stimulation of the patient’s immune defences is currently in full development and has even been awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 2018. The institute aims to strengthen the bridges between research teams and of the faculties of science, medical and paramedical sciences and pharmacy to set up an integrated international programme of training, research, and exploitation of the results of the work of research.
