Quelles articulations entre systèmes prédictifs et processus de décision ? Applications aux organisations hautement fiables

Project Acronym: Predict-HRO
Topics: Big Data, Decision-Making, Methodology, Cognition
Disciplinary Fields: Management Sciences, Human and Social Sciences, Cognitive Psychology, Digital, Security
Summary: A predictive system is based on a dynamic algorithmic analysis of massive and multidimensional data aimed at anticipating the occurrence of events with high stakes for the organization. Predict-HRO proposes to analyze the transformative and performative effects of predictive systems on the decision-making process by asking the following question: how do predictive systems relate to the decision-making process in organizations? The project focuses on High Reliable Organizations (HRO), whose members make decisions in uncertain contexts but comment on few errors. HRO are a natural laboratory for analyzing the complexity of the effects of predictive systems on decision-making processes deployed under high time pressure.
Predict-HRO aims to deepen and strengthen the scientific content of applied research work in collaboration with the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Police and the Centre des Hautes Études du Ministère de l’Intérieur. This work, focused on the decision of internal security forces in a Big Data and predictive environment, has confirmed the scientific and managerial interest of the research object.
